These pictures were taken on Emma's first birthday, the evening of September 11th, 2002. Her mommy, daddy, brother, and grandmother were there. The cake in the first picture was a small cake mommy picked up from the store earlier in the day, while the cake in the second picture was actually left-over from the cake her grandfather brought when he came to visit before Emma was born. So, that was really her first birthday cake ever.
